6/11/2024 The camping season is in full swing. Always exciting! Before you know it, the 4th of July will be upon us. Get those bookings in soon to make sure you get a site. All 4 campsites are open and available to book. The deer are moving around, and we see them several times a day currently. Bunnies, birds, and turkeys are plentiful. Book your trip now and start making plans to explore the area! We look forward to your visit. The property has a lot of wildlife; Deer, Turkey, Rabbits, Coyote, Birds, and Fox. A small creek runs across the back of the property. There are many lakes just minutes away, as well as the Huron river for fishing and kayaking. Public beaches at Lake Chemung and Bishop Lake. Campfires allowed. Plenty of dead wood around, or you can purchase firewood bundles onsite. Potable water is available to fill fresh water tanks and containers. It is softened from the house system. Sewer dump station is 5 miles away at Brighton Recreation Area (there is a fee). NOTE: The campground is going to be closed August 11, 2024–May 2025 for upgrades & maintenance work. Pets are allowed (cats & dogs only). They must be leashed at all times (15 ft. max). Summer activities: These are a few of the larger festivals. Howell Balloon fest in June. Howell Melon fest in August. Captain Frosty's Ice Cream is located approximately 2–3 miles away. They offer a variety of ice cream deliciousness, slushies, shakes, and malts. Fall activities: U-Pick Pumpkin Patch and Petting Farm next door. Free wagon rides on the weekends and a free corn maze anytime. Purchases available: pumpkins, cornstalks, Indian corn, gourds, squash, mums, honey, and other wonderful treats. Terrified Forest and Haunted Mansion are just 1 mile away beginning around mid-September for Halloween. Apple Orchard is 3–4 miles away. They offer apples and have an organic farm stand with a variety of vegetables.

Great Camp Spot!
We loved Julie’s land! It was well kept and cozy. Large fire ring, and great scenery. Julie was a great host and able to give us good instructions to get us settled. We will remember this spot when we are in town again!

We had a wonderful time. Plenty of privacy. Cute creek and minimal bugs! Great trees for hammocking.

Beautiful camp site
Beautiful area and Julie was a very communicative host! Felt very private and quiet. Just a tip to other families, if you have a lot of people and dealing with young kids or heavy supplies, the walk-in site will feel too far from your vehicle. A wagon will help!

Last minute nature night :)
We booked last minute memorial day weekend overnight camping. Very beautiful property! Map right when drive in with signs so easy to find site. Fire ring there and wood available for purchase. Water near entrance so easy access . Toilet centrally located and very clean. We had a ball and we'll be back!

Tom & Julie’s site was absolutely perfect for us. Had a baseball tournament nearby and was frustrated the local campground was full, but luckily it was otherwise I wouldn’t have found HipCamp. Their site was very level, grass and path to the site were well maintained and my 13 year old thought the outhouse was the nicest he’d ever been in. Great time out there and hope to be back soon.
